Although I've only been using the Softride Access Versa a couple of weeks now, I'm very satisfied at this point.The fold-away design and hitch pin lock allow me to leave the rack connected to my vehicle at all times.The hitch pin threads into the hitch, providing a quiet ride (no rattles).However, this feature makes installation and removal a little more involved than with a quick-release pin.The rack ships mostly assembled, but there are a few nuts and bolts to install.It wouldn't hurt to have a torque wrench (250 inch/lbs and below) on hand prior to assembly.The instructions are adequate, although they could be improved.
Once the trays are adjusted to fit your bike, the bike can be removed and installed into the tray without further adjustment.If you leave the rack attached to your vehicle, you can load the bikes in a matter of minutes and be on your way.
